ESOG Conducts Consultative Visit to Hawassa Branch
On July 28, 2025, the Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ESOG) conducted a key consultative visit to its Hawassa Branch Office as part of its ongoing commitment to improving inclusivity and strengthening regional engagement. Led by Executive Committee Member Dr. Meseret Ansa and Program Communications Officer Addisu Deresse, the visit aimed to assess the operational status of the branch, hear directly from members, and explore ways to foster greater collaboration between national and regional structures. During the session, members raised important concerns regarding limited access to training opportunities, lack of visibility, and the need for clearer pathways to participate in ESOG-led projects and initiatives.
In response, the ESOG leadership acknowledged the need for a more equitable distribution of training, transparent project allocation, and improved communication with regional members. The team pledged to strengthen digital engagement tools, support member-initiated projects, and expand networking platforms for junior professionals. This visit marks a crucial step toward making ESOG a more inclusive and nationally representative society, and the insights gathered will directly shape future policies and program adjustments. Stay tuned for updates on the implementation of these recommendations across other regional branches.
