ESOG Conducts Validation Workshop on National Domestic Resource Mobilization Implementation
Guideline for RMNCAYH
The Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists successfully reviewed and validated the National DRM Implementation Guideline RMNCAYH during a two-day validation workshop held at the Yaden Hotel Bishoftu on June 4–5, 2026, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and with assistance from AUDA-NEPAD.
The workshop brought together representatives from government institutions, regional health bureaus, development partners, professional associations, and technical experts to review the guideline, discuss implementation approaches, and provide recommendations for strengthening domestic financing mechanisms for sexual and reproductive health programs.
Participants engaged in presentations, technical discussions, group work, and plenary sessions focusing on policy alignment, resource mobilization strategies, implementation arrangements, monitoring and accountability frameworks, and practical approaches for national and subnational application.
The workshop concluded with the validation of the guideline and agreement on next steps for finalization, dissemination, and implementation. This milestone reflects the collective commitment of stakeholders to advancing sustainable financing solutions that support equitable and high-quality sexual and reproductive health services across Ethiopia.
