ESOG and EFS Formalize Partnership Amendment During Executive Committee Meeting
On the sidelines of its 4th Regular Executive Committee meeting held on April 17, 2026, at the Project Bureau, the Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ESOG) officially signed an amendment to its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ethiopian Fertility Society (EFS).
The signing ceremony, led by the leadership of both societies, serves to revitalize and modernize the collaborative framework first established in 2023. This update accounts for recent administrative changes, including the formal legal registration of EFS and the transition of executive leadership within both organizations.
The amendment reaffirms the commitment of both professional societies to work together toward the advancement of reproductive health and fertility care in Ethiopia. By formalizing this partnership, ESOG and EFS aim to streamline joint initiatives, resource sharing, and technical cooperation in the field of reproductive medicine.
This milestone was a key highlight of the Executive Committee’s busy agenda, which also included the handover of responsibilities for outgoing board members and the evaluation of the society’s first-quarter performance for 2026.
