ESOG Mourns the Passing of Dr. Aemiro Yiheyis
The Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ESOG) is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Aemiro Yiheyis, a dedicated physician and a valued member of our community. Dr. Aemiro passed away in India after battling illness, and his body is being transported back to Ethiopia.
His contributions to the field of obstetrics and gynecology in Ethiopia were profound, and his passion for improving maternal and reproductive health will be remembered by colleagues, students, and the many patients he served throughout his career.
His funeral will take place on February 25, 2025, in Bahir Dar, where family, friends, and colleagues will gather to honor his life and legacy.
