ESOG at Self-Care Day Advocacy Workshop in Bahir Dar!
The Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ESOG) proudly took part in the Self-Care Day Advocacy Workshop hosted in Bahir Dar, championing the theme: “Empowering People on Self-Care; Advancing Primary Health Care.”
Representing the Society, Dr. Ethiopia Kumlachew, Executive Board Member, delivered an inspiring keynote address that spotlighted ESOG’s ongoing initiatives to promote self-care in Ethiopia. From enabling access to self-injectable contraceptives, to introducing HPV self-sampling and medical abortion on self-care practices, ESOG continues to lead efforts that elevate health equity and empower individuals.
The workshop brought together key partners and health advocates, including the Amhara Regional Health Bureau, WHO, PSI, and leading academic institution united in their mission to drive sustainable, community-centered primary health care across the country.
Let’s keep the momentum going and collaborate to embed self-care into our healthcare systems for a healthier, more empowered Ethiopia!
